 Zermex, a unique persistent wormer, has recently been launched by Downland. Also available in sheep drench and cattle pour on forms, the sheep injection is the only endectocide to provide at least 28 days protection from scab. This is of tremendous benefit to sheep farmers in their efforts to halt the spread of this infestation.
Traditionally, sheep were dipped in the autumn to prevent scab, but with a Certificate of Competence and dip disposal registration now required, this is becoming an expensive and frustrating option. Zermex Seep Injection provides a cost effective alernative which also provides persostent worm control A single injection of Zermex Sheep Injection is also more cost effective than doramectin as the dosage rate is 1ml per 50kg compared with 1.5ml per 50kg. Doramectin injection, whilst effective in treating scab, does not convey protection from scab.
